An Italian violin bearing label "Jacobus Horil fecit Rome an.1759" twin piece back, length 14" together with a receipt dated 1922, two letters from Dykes & Sons, London stating the violin to be the genuine work of Horil, a W.E Hill & Sons bow (repaired), cased. This violin was purchased by the vendors Mother in 1922.
