Viola 14.75'' two piece back, upper bout 7.125'', middle bout 5'', lower bout 8.875'', depth of rib 1.25''; instrument has no label or manufacturers marks, ebony fingerboard, pegs and tailpiece, with bow stamped 'Grandini Senior' (repaired to tip) (cased)Has had various and many cracks to belly including some in the area of the sound post and bass bar, some repairs to button area and shows visible sign of repair (as does neck heel block)
Violin 14'' one piece back, ebony fingerboard, pegs and tailpiece, has label which is for the most part illegible but appears to say 'Antonious Stradivarius 1731', shows what appears to be the remains of a wax seal under the button and has 'BAJ' branded into the neck, with bow (cased)Has two cracks in lower bout on front, one from each f-hole down to bottom (both appear to have been glued)
Violin 14.25'' one piece back, ebony fingerboard, label reads 'Jacobus Stainer in Absam Prope Oenipontuni 16__'', with bow in caseButton on back appears not to be original, the internal neck block and surrounding ribs and neck heel block appears to have had some repair work which requires attention, belly shows some evidence of not being original to this violin, had a head graft and been bushed, back has crack in lower bout and in area of sound post, belly has various cracks
