Includes, Edinburgh Castle from the Grass Market, The University, South Bridge Street, Jail Governor’s House, High Street, High School Wynd, and North Bridge Street (plates 2, 6, 10, 12, & 18 from Swarbreck’s Sketches in Scotland), and Assembly Hall, Foot of the West Bow and High Street from Head of West Bow (plates 6, 8, & 9 from J. Kimberworth Manor; Grange Park, Rotherham; Keppels Column, Scholes Coppice; Greasborough Church; Ickles Hall, formerly Brinsworth Priory, Nr. Rotherham; Rotherham High Street; Lees Hall, Nr. Sheffield; Market Place, Worksop, Back of Holly Bush Inn; The Crown Inn, Bawtry; On the Thames, off Rotherhithe; Tower of Parish Ch. Bow; The Derby House, Watergate, Chester; St. Marys Lane, Ecclesfield; Crowder House, Ecclesfield; File cutters Shop and Cottage, Ecclesfield, some drawings containing figures, all neatly titled, most signed and dated, 176 x 294mm (7 x 11.5 ins) and smaller, numerous pen & ink vigns. on mounts, pen & ink Contents leaf at front with vigns., a.e.g., orig. red morocco gilt, extrems. rubbed, gilt titled on upper cover, oblong folio.
