TRI-FOLD TRAVELING MIRROR, MID-19TH CENTURY of rectangle shape, a tri-fold mirror with vinyl wood paneling on the exterior with brass detailing with hairpin legs with ball feet. the recto brass detailing features four cherubs in each corner, centered a wreath with a bow, the brass border is a continuous motif of a foliate vine. hinged at the right center, unfolding to three mirrors. has the ability to stand and a chain for hanging. dimensions: 28 x 21 cm (11 x 8 1/4 in.) CONDITION In age-appropriate condition. The brass border is fragile with broken and missing parts. Appears in the lower right corner an adhesive was used. Minor scratch and scuffs to the wood vinyl, most visible on the recto and verso. Cracks visible throughout the wood vinyl, most notably to the upper left corner on recto. The far right mirror of the three mirrors appears in excellent condition, the far left and center mirror have succumbed to damage, visible desilvering, most notably to the far left mirror and the lower right corner of the center mirror.
