A Victorian Pearl and Diamond Bow Brooch, a central rose cut diamond to a split pearl set bow and suspending a large pearl with a diamond set mount, measures 3.4cm by 4cm see illustration . The brooch is in good condition, there is light discolouration and surface wear to the pearls. It is not hallmarked or stamped, valued as gold. It fastens with a later pin and safety catch. The pearl drop in our opinion is a natural pearl and measures 9mm x 10mm x 8mm approximately, is off round with an uneven surface texture and yellow luster. Gross weight 12.0 grams. Condition Report made 4th September 2018.
A Circa 1960s Sapphire and Diamond Bow Brooch, groups of three round cut sapphires alternating with groups of three round brilliant cut diamonds to four rope frame ribbons, total estimated diamond weight 0.85 carat approximately, measures 4.5cm in diameter see illustration . The brooch is in good condition. It is stamped with French gold marks, valued as gold. It fastens with a double pin and c-hook, the pin does not allign with the hook. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour G/H, clarity VS1/VS2. Gross weight 17.9 grams. Condition Report made 6th September 2018.
A 20th century oak writing desk, with burgundy and gold tooled scribe, the central bow front drawer flanked by two cupboards on shaped supports, stamped Maple & Co. Condition Report: Overall condition good, leather in good condition, no cracks, colour good.Width = 132cm. Depth = 67cm & Height 79cm.
A pair of 19th century French champleve enamel and ormolu mounted porcelain urns, the globular porcelain body's enamelled with recumbent female figures with garlands of flowers and gilt bow detail verso, signed 'Rane', within champleve enamelled supports and covers, 22.5cm high (2) CONDITION REPORT: One of the lids with a slight knock at edge - flattening the circular feel a little and with two small nicks to the edge. The other with only the slight flattening from a small dent. Both with some small losses to enamel. Both of the vases lightly grubby with some minor rubbing to gilding / paint. The scroll handle fitting detached from the one vase but is not damaged, this vase perhaps ever so slightly leans. General age wear dulling / tarnishing to brass mounts throughout. Despite faults, overall appearance ok. Traces of a paper label to one.
A 1950's pond / lake yacht 'Django', possibly A Class racing type, with cream deck and red painted hull, 238cm H x 182cm wide approx (as found) CONDITION REPORT: The hull has a later red painted finish, there is a blue colour beneath this. Areas of worn paint throughout the hull and shadows of marks underneath the red paint. There are some later screws to the edge of the hull. The mount to the stern and bow do not appear to be original. The paint to the deck is flaking and has scratches and scuffs, there are cracks to the deck (please see additional images) No sails. Rigging and masts with general wear. It is not complete - attention will be needed. It is not clear what the hull is made of. No provenance. Attention will be needed. A 19th Century bronze cannon in approximately 3.2" bore (4-6lb) The swelled muzzle tapering to astragal and fillets and to two reinforcement rings. A rectangular plate above the touchhole joining a branded base ring "J.J. WOLFF MAKERS SOUTHAMPTON" and to a knob and ring. Measures approximately 5' 4" including knob with bronze muzzle cover, Blomfield type (1832-). Originally thought to have have had a percussion lock fitted, as a ship aft / bow chaser.
