Yves Saint Laurent For Christian Dior Fuchsia Pink Silk Chiffon Day Dress, Spring/Summer 1959, numbered '99060', the cap sleeves and boat neckline sitting beneath a chiffon overlay with ribbon bow to the centre, small press studs fastening to verso over a zip-up attached slip lining, gathered at the waist flowing into a full skirt made up of layers of chiffon and silk net, 26'' bust, 24'' waist, 43'' shoulder to hem Yves Saint Laurent (born 1936 in French Algeria) was just 17 when he was hired as an assistant to Christian Dior. Following the death of Christian Dior in 1957, 21 year old Yves found himself as the head designer of House of Dior and by 1958 was debuting his first collection Spring/Summer collection 'Trapèze'. After the success of Trapèze, Yves created five further collections for Dior before his dismissal from the company. He then went on to establish his own fashion house in 1961. Skirt with some small and faint staining, some loose threads, some thread pulls and potentially small repairs to back of waistband. Overall in good condition for age, strong colour.

Late 18th Century Cream Fine Wool Hood, with black spots, plain cream lining, pleated trim to all edges with additional frill to front of crown, with central cording on frill; and a Late 18th Century Thin Brown Silk Calash Bonnet, with short neck frill, central back panel pleated trimmed with ribbon bow, pleated frill around front edge (2)Cream and black spot hood - outer wool generally sound, some very slight wear in places, right side of neck panel has one area of substantial wear, lining intact and ok overall, black cording on pleated trim needs re-securing. Brown caleche bonnet - silk worn on most of the wired folds, in one place it is completely worn through. Staining/old residue on very rear centre top of bonnet. No inner lining, canvas back inside panel exposed. Fair condition commensurate with age.

Mahogany corner bow fronted Washstand having reeded edge upstand back, the triangular top having three holes for bowl and two canisters, with mahogany and glass cover, three false drawer fronts to the frieze, on square supports, the lower tier having plain top, central short drawer, flanked by false drawers, standing on square legs. 25 3/4" wide x 38 1/4" high x 17" deep.

MOORCROFT; a modern 'White Clematis' pattern tube line decorated ginger jar and cover, impressed to marks, dated 2001, height 15.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: General condition is very good with only minor traces of wear to the surface and small areas of dirt also a bow shaped crazing to the glaze to the underneath of the cover.
