Blade 21.2cms. Good condition, silvering to hilt incomplete, a little rodent damage to pommel.
Good 17th English Silver Mounted Hunting Hanger c.1670, curved single edge blade with false edge deeply stuck on each side with a crowned King’s Head maker’s mark, silver mounts stamped with maker’s mark G.S within shield, pommel with large cherub head in relief and engraved with owl faces and a demonic head within foliage, ferule engraved with cherub heads, fluted knuckle bow, quillon with lion head finial, one piece stag horn grip, in its tooled leather scabbard with silver mounts stamped G.S, locket engraved with winged cherub and heads, belt hook with Roman emperor’s head in relief, foliate engraved chape. Blade 50cms. Good untouched condition, requires cleaning overall.
English Hallmarked Silver Hilt Small Sword, H.M. London 1755, colichemarde blade with some etched decoration, hilt of conventional type with wrythen pommel, knuckle bow and guard edges, silver wire and tape bound grip, and retaining its chape pricked Cullum, King’s cutler, Charing Crofs, and with later silver chape. Blade 80cms. Good condition, blade bent and cracked almost in 2, guard bent.
Fine Quality Mid-18th Century English Small Sword, hollow ground triangular section colichemarde blade, iron hilt finely pierced and chiselled with scrolling foliage, ribbed knuckle bow, quillon, ricasso rings and edges of the guard with some further foliage chiselled in relief, grip bound with woven copper wire, ribbed copper tape, and iron tape with inlaid wavy copper line, and fitted with woven turks heads. Blade 72.5cms. Good untouched condition, hilt with good age patina, minor pitting to blade.
Georgian Infantry Officers Sword Spadroon, late 18th century, straight single edged blade cut with a single fuller and etched and gilt with pre-1801 Royal Arms, trophies of arms, and floral devices, the back edge etched J.J. Runkel Solingen. Gilt brass hilt retaining nearly all original gilding, single side loop to guard, knuckle bow with ring for the dress knot, cushion shaped pommel, fluted ebony grip inlaid with 4 gilt brass strips. Blade length 82cms. Good condition.
