Other Notes: The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was sold in July 1832 to the Hon. A Craven for the sum of £39. 18. 0. Unsworth notes that this is described as a "Large Rifle". He also notes that the records indicate a barrel length of 30in. which is confirmed by the Dimensions Book, although this also lists the calibre as 16-bore. However the Cash Ledgers record the rifle as a 10-bore. Perhaps this descrepency in calibre between the two record books could also go some way to account for the fact the current barrel length of 28in., which appears to be original, is also in conflict with the Dimensions Book.
