A rare, small, d/t steel mitre plane stamped BUCK Tottenham Ct. Rd. on the cupids bow bridge, measures only 6" x 1 3/4" with rosewood infill and scrolled wedge. This plane, though, was made by Rt. Towell London, his mark stamped on the infill under the iron, proving that Towell, as well as Norris, made planes for Buck to retail, widened mouth and some bruising to wedge o/w G

A group of archery items comprising: a leather-covered composite bow with beast-head nocks, sinew(?) bowstring, leather reinforcing to the belly and limbs, decorative studs; two light arrows with socketed heads, one with whipped fletching; a horseman's canvas bow-case with metal frame, decorative studs to both faces. 1.5 kg total, bow: 111cm (43 1/2"). A bow bronze brooch comprising a D-shaped headplate with three radiating collared lugs, keeled bow with chevron detail, lozengiform footplate with crescentic lappets, ribbed collar with punched lugs above and bulb finial; catchplate to the reverse with pin-lugs and spring. 16 grams, 69mm (2 3/4"). From an old Munich collection; acquired on the German art market before 2000. [No Reserve]

A George V hallmarked silver and yellow enamel decorated powder/patch box of circular form with bow pinned brooch suspending the circular lidded box, with lid decorated with three roses enclosing a mirror to the lid and gilt washed interior, Chester 1925, diameter 4.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Some areas of rubbing and loss to the raised parts of the bow, some surface scratches, but the main body of the piece appears in good condition.
