W. Ansell".

Cooper 28 Radnor St, London in deep bow fronted gilt lines case, 36" x 28" x14", Cooper decorative paper label to inside top left of backboard, blue backdrop, fully reeded, gravel riverbank base, superb fully grown specimen Otter with small painted brown trout in mouth, finely executed mount, rare. Clarke 27th Oct 1990 weight 4lbs 3 oz" and "Perch found dead in Swithland Reservoir 6th May 1995, 4 lbs 12 oz", fine.
COOPER PIKE CHASING TROUT: Fine preserved Pike chasing a small trout by J Cooper, 28 Radnor St, London in fully reeded bow front glazed case 51" x20" x11", blue backboard with Cooper label, reeds over gravel base, gilt text reads "Pike, caught at Slapton Ley, Devon, J. W. Barber 7th Dec, 1919, weight 24lbs 5 ozs", fine specimen retains good original colouring. Illus.
CASED CHUB: Fine preserved Chub by Fred Saunders, 69 Highbury Park, London (logo label to inside top right) in glazed bow front gilt lined case 24" x13" x6, blue backboard fully reeded over gravel base, internal paper label reads "Chub, caught at Marlow by J Robertson December 1913 Weight 3lb 1-1/2 oz", fine specimen retaining good colour by a rarely seen taxidermist studio (same captor for Perch in following lot).
CASED PERCH: preserved perch by London Taxidermist Studio (Pike logo paper label to lower right of case) in glazed gilt line bow front case 20" x13" x6", blue backboard painted with rushes, fully reeded over gravel base, 2 lines gilt text reads "Perch, Caught by J Robertson at Marlow, September 1st 1905 Weight 2 lbs" fine specimen.
