Im weißen Kunstseidenfutter des Innendeckels Klassenbezeichnung in Goldprägung: „Grosskreuz des Ordens vom Deutschen Adler“. Beigefügt Knopflochrosette des Großkreuzes. Bei Betrachtung dieser Stücke des DAO in dem äußerst beeindruckenden Originaletui lässt sich die bei Henry Picker (Hitlers Tischgespräche im Führerhauptquartier ...) beschriebene Szene eines Diplomaten, dem beim Anblick des ihm überreichten Deutschen-Adler-Ordens die Tränen in den Augen standen, leicht nachvollziehen.   Sehr schöner Originalsatz in bester Juweliersqualität und Spitzenerhaltung. Das nur 1937 – 1938 verliehene Großkreuz des 1. Both pieces together in the original presentation case of issue of the Grand Cross of the Order of the German Eagle. Red leather case with magnetic buckles and hinges. Lid with gold embossed German Eagle. Inner part with black velvet inlay and hinged compartment to hold the sash. In the white artificial silk lining of the inner lid, class designation in gold embossing: "Grand Cross of the Order of the German Eagle". Attached buttonhole rosette of the Grand Cross. When looking at these pieces of the DAO in the extremely impressive original case, it is easy to understand the scene described in Henry Picker (Hitler's Table Conversations at the Führer's Headquarters ...) of a diplomat who had tears in his eyes when he saw the Order of the German Eagle presented to him. Very nice and impressive original set in finest  jeweller's quality and top condition.
