Edwardian pearl and diamond pendant with bow detail. CONDITION REPORT: Two stones missing. Some small cracks/inclusions in the diamond but very difficult to make out. Very dirty. No hallmarks. Diameter of pearl cluster: 2cm approximately. Length of pendant: 3.5cm approximately. Weight: 3.9g approximately
A lady's gold cased, keyless wind, openfaced fob watch, with a gilt jewelled lever movement, gold inner case, the decorated gilt dial with Roman numerals, the inner and outer cases detailed 18 K, with a later 9ct gold bow brooch fitting, a lady's 9ct gold circular cased wristwatch, with a sprung bar link bracelet, London 1925, three further wristwatches and two further watches, (7).
Two pairs of similar table candlesticks, possibly German, first half of the 19th century, each designed as a Corinthian column with a detachable sconce, raised on a swept square base, decorated with oval classical portraits, within wreath shaped surrounds, having bow surmounts, (not loaded), the marks very rubbed, heights 24.3cm and 23.5cm, gross combined weights 1840 gms, (4).
A 15ct gold ring mount, Birmingham 1902, weight 1.6 gms, two further rings, a colourless paste set bow brooch, detailed Silver, an enamelled butterfly brooch, a malachite pendant cross, a Leonidas keyless wind, M.O.D issue openfaced pocket watch, the case back detailed G.S.T.P. N.8162, a gilt metal cased openfaced pocket watch and a silver cased openfaced pocket watch, London 1877, (9).
An 80 bore flintlock boxlock muff pistol by D. Egg, c 1800, 4¾” overall, turn off barrel 1½”, with Tower private proofs, the breech signed “D Egg, London”, the frame engraved with trophies and roped border, the cock with stylised serpent head; the dark wood butt inlaid with silver wire scrolls and bow. WO & basically GC (trigger and frizzen replaced, top safety missing, butt has been filled, barrel cleaned) Plate 10

A mixed group of bronze keys comprising: one with flat-section bow pierced below the upper edge, rectangular shank with angled bit and wards; one similar, tapering shank, knop above the bow, rib detailing and reserved lozenge; barrel-shaped ring with short bit and wards. A mixed bronze group comprising: a harness pendant formed as a sphere with ropework band to the equator, pierced polyhedral knop below, free-running knop above, suspension loop with stylised beast-head finials; a casket key with trefoil bow; a finger ring with discoid bezel, intaglio bird motif; strap end with balustered shank, D-shaped pierced plaques. 50 grams total, 23-49mm (1-2"). A mixed group of bronze brooches comprising: a La Tène I type bow brooch with thick curved bow; an Aucissa brooch (pin replaced); a La Tène II type brooch with incised borders to the plate. Cf. Hattatt, R. Ancient and Romano-British Brooches, Sherborne, 1982, items 3, 43; Brooches of Antiquity, Oxford, 1987, item 740. 44 grams total, 45-59mm (1 3/4 - 2 1/2"). Fine condition, repaired. 18th century AD. A large cast bronze crotal bell, spherical in form with circumferential lip, two holes to the upper face, suspension loop; sound bow to the underside with radiating petals and central disc, initials 'RW' to each side (for Robert Wells); stamped below the loop '8'. 315 grams, 88mm (3 1/2"). From an old Hampshire collection; found River Thames foreshore, London, 1976. The Wells Foundry was established in 1755 by Robert Wells (born 1725), at Aldbourne. Robert ran the foundry until his death in 1781, latterly working with his son, also Robert (born 1756). Robert Junior worked with his younger brother, James (born 1771), from circa 1790. When Robert retired in 1798, he left James in charge. The business prospered for many years but in 1825 it went bankrupt and was sold to the Whitechapel Foundry. The only initialled crotal bells attributable to the Wells foundry are marked ‘RW’, probably still produced during the period when James was in sole charge. The number '8' denotes the largest size of crotal bell in production. Fine condition. [No Reserve]

A reproduction Georgian style concave bow fronted flight of three Drawers, cross-banded top having reeded edges over the flight of three Mahogany lined and cock beaded, flame front drawers fitted with brass ring handles and standing on carved shoulder cabriole legs, 19 1/4'' wide x 29 1/2'' high x 13 1/4'' deep.
An Edwardian Mahogany Sideboard of large proportions, the moulded gallery upstand back with inlaid detail over cross-banded top that has a central bowed section over a central wide bow front frieze drawer flanked by short drawers over a lower pair of opposing single panel doors. With central open dog kennel compartments, all fitted throughout with brass handles and box wood stringing, standing on short tapering square legs with spade feet, 70 1/4'' wide x 44 1/4'' high x 25 1/2'' deep.
An elegant early 19th c. bow front Mahogany Sideboard of small proportions, with plain top over the central Mahogany and Pine lined, cock beaded drawer over shaped apron, flanked by similarly lined deep drawer to one side and single cock beaded panel door the other. Fitted with circular brass plate ring handles throughout and standing on pretty turned legs, 48'' wide x 34 1/2'' high x 22 1/2'' deep.
