A first period Worcester porcelain mug, decorated an oval coloured landscape and sprays of flowers and blue gilt borders, the handle replaced in painted pewter. 5in. (12.5cm.) high. Together with a Bow quail pattern octagonal plate, borders damaged. 7in. (18cm.) diameter and a Lowestoft cream jug, with sparrow beak spout and scroll handle, decorated flowers. 3.5in. (9cm.) high. SACK-BACK WINDSOR ARMCHAIR. The double incised D-shaped bow back has seven tapered spindles that swell just below the arm rail which ends in knuckled handholds.Two short spindles and well-turned arm supports. Oval and incised pine seat. Vase and reel turned legs are braced by two bulbous side stretchers and a bulbous and ring medial stretcher. Older dark green paint has good wear. Splits and minor filler. 18h.seat. 37h. overall
BOW BACK WINDSOR SIDE CHAIR. Possibly New York. Flattened beaded bow surrounds nine tapered spindles. Back is braced with additional two spindles. Incised lines on well-shaped seat. Vase and reel turned legs with bulbous stretchers. Layers of paint appear to begin with red and end with olive green with good wear. Minor repair and edge wear on seat. 16 1/2h. seat. 35h. overall.
