VICTORIAN WALNUT MIRROR BACKED CREDENZA, the arched back with scroll and shell moulded, finialled pediment over bevelled plates, the bow fronted break front base with white veined marble top over curved glazed end cabinets and centre glazed cabinet divided by plain rectangular pilasters on a platform base. C. 1885. 87" x 60.5" x 17.5" (221 x 154 x 44cm). CONDITION REPORT: Overall appearing in good original condition. Minor cracks and wear to veneers in places. Two of the shell finials on the back have been drilled as if to fasten the back to the wall. The marble top is good overall.
19th CENTURY SMALL MAHOGANY BOW FRONTED CHEST of two short and three long graduated drawers, all with ebony strung outlines, and having yellow metal knobs, on splay bracket feet. C. 1820. 33" x 37" x 21" (84 x 94 x 53cm). CONDITION REPORT: Basically good condition for age, a little dry and scuffed to the top, minor veneer losses to edges in places, and other scuffs and marks commensurate with age.
EARLY 19th CENTURY MAHOGANY BOW FRONTED CHEST of four graduated cock beaded drawers under a brushing slide with cross banded and strung inlaid top, on splayed bracket feet with apron. C. 1810. 34" x 36" x 20" (86 x 92 x 51cm). CONDITION REPORT: Fair condition overall for age, some losses to veneers on extremities, angles and corners, scuffed and worn to lower edges, some losses to cock beading.
PAIR OF 18th CENTURY IRISH PIER TABLES, each having associated bow fronted mahogany tops over bead moulded drawers with shell and gadroon moulded frieze below, standing an acanthus moulded cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. C. 1760. 28" x 30" x 15" (71 x 76 x 38cm). (2) CONDITION REPORT: The solid mahogany tops appear to be replacements for original marble tops, both tables have some losses to veneers and general scuffs and wear commensurate with age but are structurally sound. Knobs appear Victorian. 2 sections of mouldings on side returns detached plus one MISSING. Hinges on back rails suggestoriginally fold over tops? Old woodworm evident. Damage to side moulding with losses. further details on request.
A pair of late 19th/ early 20th century French rosewood, marquetry, gilt metal mounted and marble topped bedside cabinets, the rectangular tops with a slightly bow fronted edge above fall fronts of three faux drawers opening to white marble lined interiors, raised on cabriole supports with gilt metal sabots united by an under tier, 43cm wide x 70.5cm high x 30.5cm deep.
Two native bows, possibly from Borneo, composed of 2 single piece flat wooden arms joined at the centre and bound with rattan, the fronts blackened; a single arm from a similar bow; and approximately 40 non associated 20th century arrows with wrap around sheet iron bodkin points, painted hafts and feather flights. A stonebow, c 1800, 31½” overall, steel bow 28”, with folding U shaped fore sight, folding aperture rearsight above the mechanism, steel cocking lever recessed into the butt, and good modern replacement cord. Basically GC (steel parts pitted overall, the stock has been repaired and modified in the distant past)
A rare early Bow toy ware coffee cup of conical form and with plain loop handle. Painted in underglaze blue with a two storey structure, rocks and bamboo shoots c1750-55, 4.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Some pitting but free from chips, cracks and repair. Rich glaze with no obvious scratches or wear.
