A forged iron poor-box. South German around 1700. Rectangular iron coffer. On each side, riveted vine ornamentation made of embossed and pierced sheet iron. The lid with two hinge bands and a triangular padlock. Slit for coins with a bow shaped shutter. Original red/black frame, the interior painted in red lead. 18 x 23 x 20 cm. €1,200.00

An Iberian falcata or slashing sabre. 5th to 2nd centuries B.C. Together with a knuckle bow from another falcata, (A) the iron blade entirely forged in one piece and fullered on both sides, the back slightly curved, the single edge becoming double-edged at the point, the grip tang short and broad and with several rivet holes for attaching the missing grip shells, the stylised horse-head sculpture completed in Plexiglas. L 54.3 cm = 21.4 in. (B) a knuckle bow, with zigzag silver damascening, 9 cm = 3.5 in. €800.00
An Iberian falcata or slashing sabre. 5th to 2nd centuries B.C. Entirely forged in one piece, the back of the iron blade slightly curved, the single edge becoming double-edged at the point (the tip restored) and unusually well and deeply fullered on both sides and with remains of silver damascening in a wave pattern on the rincasso (the surface slightly blistered), a short broad grip with a bow and a chiselled fully-round horse's head also with remains of silver damascening, three rivets for the (missing) grip shells, and completely preserved quillons. L 53 cm = 20.9 in. €600.00

A three-sided cast of a typical trireme bow, either a model or perhaps a ceremonial or votive object for the launching of a ship, the triangular base plate with large holes for affixing to a surface, one corner broken off in ancient times. L 19 cm = 7.5 in. An unusual and rare object, the surface exposed metal with humus encrustations. €1,500.00
A large and rare Russian engraved blue-cased goblet and cover, circa 1860 the funnel bowl finely engraved with the winged figures of Cupid and Psyche seated on a bed, a bow, quiver and lyre to one side, above a formal band of trefoils, against a matt ground, the stem formed as a carved imperial eagle, the domed foot and cover engraved with a meandering foliate branch, below a pointed leaf-capped finial 62cm., 24 3/8in.
