A Victorian smoker's bow chair. With buttoned stuffed leather armrest, raised on turned supports and casters. H78cm. Condition Report: Structurally very sound. I am not a small man and absolutely no doubt about sitting in it. Nothing appears to be missing. leather has that 'Club ' feel but nothing missing.
A 19th century violin: the instrument with flame effect cut maple with a ripple pattern, the spruce top with two F holes (15cm split from the top of the left-hand sound hole underneath the ebony fingerboard to the next join), tightly carved scroll and with three ebony pegs, within later distressed carrying case and with a single bow (length of fingerboard 27cm, length of fingerboard and scroll 37.5cm, full length to include body and scroll 59cm) (the instrument well used and condition commensurate with age, restoration required)
