19th century German copy of a violin originally made by Giovan Paolo Maggini, Brescia. Two-piece back with quadruple scribed outline, scrolled tuning head, together with bow and hard case. Length of back 36cm approximately. With interior label.(B.P. 21% + VAT) Two significant cracks noticeable at front of body. General wear and tear and scuffs with age. No strings.
A pair of patinated bronze cherub figures, one modelled holding a bow and a heart, the other modelled resting on crutches with a broken arrow to base, each upon marble style socle bases, unsigned, each approximately 13.5cm high (2)Condition reportCherub with bow lacking lower half of the bow, left arm has been restored at the elbow, general minor nibbles to socle base.Second figure has some deposits at the top of the inside of his legs, possibly polish residue, along with some rubbing to the high points and minor nibbles to the socle.
TAXIDERMY: A cased taxidermy perch of large proportions, modelled against a naturalistic ground, the bow fronted case glazed on three sides with integral hanging loop, applied paper label for "J. Cooper and Sons" of London to top right corner, the perch approximately 38cm long, the case 35cm H x 52cm W x 14.5cm D (max) CONDITION REPORT:The piece appears to be in good overall condition. The fish shows three small dents to the dorsal fin and appears to have lost a couple of scales behind the gill. The case is glazed with glass which is secure with tape (the glass and tape appear to be original, but they may be later replacements).

A George III mahogany and marquetry bow front card table, circa 1790,: the hinged top with central conch shell motif in an oval reserve, with quarter fan paterae at the rear corners, opening to a baize lined and satinwood bordered interior; the straight, square section legs tapering from further marquetry paterae down to gaitered feet; 74cm high, 91cm wide, 45cm deep.
A Bow white-glazed libation cup, c.1752-55, the flared body with everted rim, applied to one side with a spray of flowering magnolia, the reverse with a spray of prunus, raised on a reticulated base, and a Chinese blanc de Chine example from which the Bow version derives, 10.9cm across max. (2)

Three English porcelain figures, c.1765-70, a Chelsea figure of a gardener holding a nest of birds, gold anchor mark, a Bow figure of a flower girl standing beside flowering bocage with an apron full of blooms, and a Bow figure of a New Dancer, raised on a footed base before flowering bocage, red anchor and dagger marks, some damages and restorations, 24cm max. A rare white-glazed Bow figure of Erato, c.1750-52, by the Muses Modeller, depicted seated with Cupid reaching for a bow resting across her lap, a wreath held in her right hand, the base applied with roses and a small quiver of arrows, small losses, 15.7cm. Cf. Victoria and Albert Museum, Accession No. C.31-1959 for an identical example.
A garniture of three Bow vases and covers, c.1765, the central vase of baluster shape, flanked by two flared vases, painted with butterflies and moths in flight around applied flowering branches, the sides with female masks beneath petal frills, pierced to the necks and shoulder, the covers surmounted with yellow bird finials, some restoration, 28cm max. (6)
Two Worcester saucers, c.1753-58, one of Smoky Primitive type, printed with La Cascade with a couple walking in a garden beside a fountain, the other printed in black with The Tomtits, three birds perched on branches, some damages, 12.3cm max. (2) Although The Tomtits was engraved by Robert Hancock and features in the Ladies Amusement, it is more commonly found on Bow porcelain than Worcester.
A rare Bow blue and white pickle dish, c.1755-58, of early leaf shape, painted with a small willow tree on sloping rocks with small birds in flight above, the underside moulded with veining, 10.5cm across. Provenance: the collection of David & Jan Birley. Exhibited: Simon Spero Exhibition, 2008, no. 42.

A large Bow blue and white mug, c.1755-58, the baluster shape painted with the Dragon pattern, a single sinuous beast encircling the body amidst stylized cloud scrolls, further cloud motifs to the inside rim, a grooved strap handle, workman's number 12 to the base, some chipping, an extended firing crack, 15.5cm high.
