Presumably published as a cheap 'broadside' for mass consumption, its chances of survival were remote. The printers address was that of C. Dicey between 1736 and 1763.

An early 20th century bird's-eye maple bedroom suite comprising double bow-fronted wardrobe, a matching dressing table with shaped front above a T-formation of drawers flanked by cupboard doors and a double headboard (3). CONDITION REPORT The finish to the dressing table is worn, mostly at the sides, but there is further cracking visible throughout the top surface. Further scuffs, scrapes and minor losses throughout the three pieces. Wardrobe: height 193cm, width 21cm, depth approx 63cm. Dressing table: height excluding mirror 80cm, height including mirror 150cm, width 136cm, depth 55cm. Headboard: height 86cm, width 139cm.

An oak two-door bow-fronted display cabinet with gadrooned decoration above pair of astragal glazed doors enclosing two shelves, raised on squat cabriole legs to ball and claw feet, height 120cm, width 121cm, depth 34cm.

Lot 65

An Edwardian mahogany linen press with pair of panelled doors enclosing four slides above two short and two long drawers, to outswept bracket feet, 125 x 51 x 205cm (af) and an Edwardian mahogany bow-fronted dressing chest with bevelled mirror above small shelf and three long drawers raised on square tapering legs to peg feet, width 92cm, depth 55cm (badly af) (2). CONDITION REPORT There are losses to the cornice, further surface damage to the door fronts including scratches and paint overspray. The lower section has a split to the left hand side of the carcass, with further visible surface damage. The bracket foot from the back right leg is partially missing. The upright frame for holding the mirror on the dressing chest has both side trims detached but they are present. The top surface is heavily worn, showing scratches, staining, fading, etc and there is further surface damage to the drawer fronts and the rest of the carcass.

CONDITION REPORT Back of locket is loose but present, very small areas of damage to the enamel, all stones present in rings, clear hallmarks.

Has been patched in areas. Some heavier knocks, bumps, etc to the sides. The top drawer has had an interesting alteration to the interior. Drawers sit slightly proud. Handles have been replaced. General wear and tear conducive with age and use to include water marks to the top, some splitting to the veneer, knocks, bumps, etc. See images for more details.

Interior has some scratching and a couple of water marks. Areas of beading have been patched. Some cracking to the veneer. One leg has been off and re-inserted. Very wobbly.
