An Indian sword hilt, tulwar type, copper-gilt and chased all-over with flower heads and scrolling foliage, characteristic slender langets and short quillons, swollen grip, the pommel in the form of a tiger's head biting the feet of the hare that forms the knuckle bow, Rajasthan, 17th Century.
An 18th Century steel hilted sword, possibly for an officer, narrow 'spadroon' type blade 31.5 in., single edged with fuller extending almost to the point; openwork steel guard pierced with foliate scrolls and fan-like details, extending to form a tapering knuckle bow with wavy edges, fluted pommel, silver wire bound grip.
A scarce mid-18th Century infantry hanger of the Swiss Regiment de Hallwyll, curved single edged blade 27.75 in., with narrow back fuller, engraved in large capitals 'REGT. SUISSE DE HALLWYL'; iron hilt, the boat shell guard with extension on the inside forming a thumb ring terminating in a loop through which passes the tang, side bar and knuckle bow united by a serpentine bar, globular pommel, grip bound with brained brass wire. This mercenary regiment existed in French service, and was under the leadership of the Colonel-proprietor Franz Joseph von Hallwyl from 1752 until its disbanding in 1763.
An early 18th Century English silver hilted small sword, hollow triangular-section blade 31 in., finely engraved at the forte with panels of scrolls; hilt with slightly eccentric twin shell guards, two finger rings rising from the quillon block, drop terminal rear quillon, slender knucklebow, fluted globular pommel, braided silver wire bound grip finished with Turk's heads of finer wire at top and bottom, the whole decorated in high relief with classical busts within panels of scrolling foliage, the main parts having reeded edges, indistinct mark to the knuckle bow.

Brass tarnished. Scabbard with minor pitting and dark patina. Blade rough sharpened.
