Fine Victorian wedding ensemble of corded cream silk, with mutton leg sleeves, cuff and collar of lace with floral sprays, glass beaded waist band with tassel front, the full skirt with bow, pleated hem, interlining trimmed with bobbin lace, a pair of kid leather laced boots and silk stockings en suite .This lot comes with a copy of the original photograph of the bride wearing the dress on her wedding day in 1893. PROVENANCE: Belonged to the vendors great grandmother`s, Nellie Spedden Hollidge, from Washington USA who married Frank P Marshall of Lancaster New Hampshire USA in 1893, there are some photos of her wearing it then. They were both employed in clothing retail and later had a dry goods business in Lancaster until retirement in 1930. This dress has been in the family ever since. good condition, well stored

Cooper label, and further label ""LARGE PERCH - a fine perch of 3lbs 5ozs was taken in the lower waters of Mr Tiel`s preserves at Rye House, Hoddesden, by Mr H.M. Clive a few days since. Mr Cooper, of St Luke`s, has it to preserve. This makes the second perch of about the same weight taken recently by Mr Clive in Hertfordshire - Greville F"", then inscribed ""February 1873"", in a bow front glass case, 22 1/2"" x 14 1/4"" (Illustrated)
