INDIAN COINS, Gupta Kings, Puragupta (c.AD 480-485), Gold Dinar 9.5g, Archer type, part of legend around king standing left holding bow with left hand, arrow in right, garuda standard in field left (no name below arm), rev Sri-Vikramah goddess Lakshmi seated facing cross-legged on lotus, holding long stemmed flower and riband, tamgha in field left (cf BMC 550-551; Bayana -). An exceptional example with much of obverse legend, the figure well centred, extremely fine.
