A ruby, sapphire and diamond ring, converted from a 19th Century sweetheart brooch, modelled as twin hearts beneath a bow, 9ct gold shank, size N CONDITION REPORT: Weight 4.5gm. Minor abrasions to the coloured stones at facets. Some scattered minor chipping to diamonds. Overall appearance good.
A rare late 17th/early 18th Century "Sun and Moon" pair cased verge watch by Benjamin Owen, London, the silver champleve dial with semi-circular aperture revealing the sun and moon rotating to show the hours against Roman chapters, signed Owen, London in a cartouche beneath a mask, concentric Arabic minutes (hand lacking), gilt engraved border; the verge movement signed Ben Owen, London, pierced and engraved balance cock with large foot, tulip pillars; both silver cases with maker's mark TS beneath a fleur-de-lys, date letter not clearly discernible (bow and glass lacking) Note: Benjamin Owen: apprenticed to William Newton 1687-1694. Baillie records him working until c.1740/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: Outer case - five joint, thumb piece intact. One dent to back at 12 o'clock, the front bezel with depression at 12 o'clock. Inner case - dent at 6 o'clock, other minor dents around edge below bezel. Pin hole at 6 o'clock filled. No pendant and bow, no glass.Movement - requires cleaning but the verge staff is intact, balance spring intact and watch ticks. Fusee chain intact. Basically sound movement. Dial - some gilding to sun worn, no minute hand, otherwise good.

Brumwell), first with light scratches to the enamel, therefore good very fine, others extremely fine/Note: Sister Annie Constance Brumwell was born in Chippenham, Wiltshire in 1880. A Mahogany, Crossbanded, Boxwood and Ebony Strung Bowfront Wardrobe, circa 1900, the two cupboard doors enclosing shelves with four drawers below flanked by wings enclosing hanging space and one drawer, 213cm by 68cm by 212cmThis splits down and the cornice can be removed. The two wings are separate pieces and the central section is another piece. Generally good with the exception of the plinth base around the doors and drawers which are scuffed and bruised. The bow cupboard doors with very minor fine splits. The veneers to the oval panels on the wardrobe drawers are drying out very slightly if being critical. General scuffs on the corners of the wardrobe consistent with age (see images).
