3-piece ink set, silver. A beautiful ink set consisting of a tray with a crystal glass inkwell with a silver cap and a blotter with a silver frame. The tray is equipped with compartments for the ink bottle, blotter and writing pen. Decorated with culot bands in which bow elements are incorporated. The ink set was specially made for the 10th anniversary of the Sophia Foundation. This foundation is still active. Netherlands, Utrecht, C.J. 1930's velvet devoure rose pattern dress and matching bolero, together with a 1920's/30's tiered black lace dress with bow to waist and matching black lace bolero with silk collar. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Velvet dress very good for age, no obvious damage. Velvet bolero - one seem loose on the collar, otherwise good. Lace dress - multiple holes/tears in the lace and under slip discoloured/mouldy. Lace bolero - lining has some holes and minor wear.

Neolithic Period, circa 8th-5th millennium B.C. Comprising mostly bifacial and uniface leaf-shaped flint and chert arrowheads; probably from the Sahara region of North Africa. UK gallery, early 2000s.Between the Mesolithic and Neolithic periods, some of the most useful human inventions were perfected, including the bow and arrow. The feathered arrow for hunting birds was invented. Most arrows used during hunting were tipped with flint or obsidian, although some had blunt wooden tips to stun birds without injuring them. Parcel-gilt crossbow brooch with onion-shaped knops to the ends of the headplate and medially along the top edge; deep trapezoidal-section bow with median gusset; D-section footplate with chamfered sides open to one edge; upper part of one face of the bow with niello-filled running scroll design, lower part of the other face with running guilloche; beaded wire collar at the end.
