Japanese carved ivory okimono of a Samurai, a boy by his side, holding a miniature shrine, 10.5cm, wooden base, signature to base Meiji CONDITION REPORT: Overall rather yellow. Stand in good condition. possibly something (box?) missing from table- there is a recess. Samurai has very slight loss to front of skirt (the right hand swag) the small figure at his side with inlaid eyes, fine crack to head from fore head to top of right eye, another fine crack from neck to bow or shawl. Samurai has a very fine cracks running down right hand side of his face, hat to mid cheek.

The frame is in generally good order however on the metal mount framing the figure the gilding has worn to the base metal.
