A 19th century Gillows mahogany and ebony strung bow fronted chest of three short over three long graduated drawers, with gilt metal lion mask handles, fine twist pilasters and turned feet, signed, w. 125 cm CONDITION REPORT: Repaired fillet over back left leg. Handles do not match internal holes and presume to be a later addition. Bleeding to areas around stringing to drawers. Very deep dents and scratches throughout but esp. to top surface. Some losses to beading around drawers and also losses to carcass around drawers. Please see additional images

Japanese carved ivory okimono of a Samurai, a boy by his side, holding a miniature shrine, 10.5cm, wooden base, signature to base Meiji CONDITION REPORT: Overall rather yellow. Stand in good condition. possibly something (box?) missing from table- there is a recess. Samurai has very slight loss to front of skirt (the right hand swag) the small figure at his side with inlaid eyes, fine crack to head from fore head to top of right eye, another fine crack from neck to bow or shawl. Samurai has a very fine cracks running down right hand side of his face, hat to mid cheek.
A 19th century portrait miniature on ivory, oval, lady with bow in hair. 60 mm x 50 mm, black painted frame and brass hanger. CONDITION REPORT: On the left hand side of the portrait is the initial "E". The blue sky background looks a little washed out. The ivory itself is in good order and free from any chips or cracks. The frame is in generally good order however on the metal mount framing the figure the gilding has worn to the base metal.
