A magnificent Tibetan gilt bronze figure of Chaturbhuja Manjushri, Namasangiti18th centuryThe deity seated in padmasana on a waisted double lotus base, the slender waist rising up to broad shoulders with upper right hand holding a sword, lower left hand raised in front of his chest holding the end of a leafy lotus stem terminating in a lotus flower with the Prajñāpāramitā placed on top, hair arranged in a high chignon wearing a five point crown, inlayed with coral, malachite and lapis lazuli, other body jewelry similarly embellished, wearing a dhoti decorated with floral border, 19cm high.西藏十八世紀 銅鎏金四臂文殊菩薩像Cf. Mañjuśrī is one of the Eight Great Bodhisattvas, or 'Eight Close Sons' of Buddha Śākyamuni, whose name and variations of names were enumerated in the Charya Tantra, Nāmasaṃgīti ('The Chanting of Names'). The current form, with one face four arms, was included in the tantra mentioned above, with variations of attributions held in his hands, and somehow rare as most examples of Mañjuśrī in this on form hold a bow and sword in the upper hands. A Diamond Ring, by Leo Pizzo realistically modelled as a bow motif, a row of square cut diamonds and a row of round brilliant cut diamonds gathered centrally, in white claw and channel settings, to a plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 0.95 carat approximately finger size N1/2The ring was purchased in 2017 for €3200. The ring is in good condition. It is stamped '750' and in our opinion would test as gold. It is also signed 'Leo Pizzo'. The ring is accompanied by Leo Pizzo warranty certificate stating the diamond content to be 0.99 carat, gold 6.10 grams, article number 521761, model number 1113913. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 6.2 grams. CR made 29.03.23.

It fastens with a bolt ring catch. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as platinum. Cased by Collingwood & Sons Ltd.
