BEATLES SCULPTURES. Set of 4 Beatles busts sculpted by David Webster. Each bust is made from reinforced cold cast resin with a satin black finish and the sculptures sit on a 300 x 300mm MDF plinth with a white finish. Each head is fixed to the plinth by a 50mm steel tube which allows the head to rotate when setting up the sculpture
SHEILA-JEAN NEWTON (RA d.2000) a fine composition bust of Sir Kyffin Williams, 27cms high on an oblong base Provenance: sculpture is entered by the nephew of the artist who is a highly talented but relatively little known sculptress who lived in Llandegfan, Anglesey for many years. A copy letter dated 1988 is enclosed from a Lady Ropner of Bedale, Yorkshire writing to the artist that she had seen three of her sculptures at the RA & stating that she wished to acquire one of her bronze sculptures. Also a copy letter of commiseration from the Sculpture Group upon the artist's death & also a photograph of her at work

An undated archaistic carnelian cloison with intaglio profile female bust with folded head covering, set into a later gold finger ring comprising a hoop of three parallel bands with interstitial granules, ellipsoid bezel with granules to the outer face of the cell. 5.69 grams, 23mm overall, 19.47mm internal diameter (approximate size British S 1/2, USA 9 1/2, Europe 21.0, Japan 20) (1"). Ex Vincent collection, Berkshire, UK; formed since the 1970s. Fine condition.
