Good quality late 19th century French bronze stationery cabinet with ornate floral scroll cresting, fall-flap decorated with profile bust of King Louis XIV, enclosing velvet-lined stationery divisions, on claw feet, 38cm high x 32cm wide CONDITION REPORT Very nice overall patination. Purple velvet lined interior is original but quite worn. Lower bronze frieze is slightly buckled in two places - lower left of centre and to right hand side. Fall front very slightly buckled centrally - not visible when closed. Generally good original condition
George III mourning brooch with split pearl border, 19th century locket pendant containing lace panel within a yellow metal frame and two antique carved shell cameo brooches (4) CONDITION REPORT Georgian brooch - good condition commensurate with age. Pin and hinge are brass and probably replacement, with signs of solder, 25mm x 18mm. Locket - hinged and opens from back, glass panel to back is cracked, frame is possibly gold bot not marked, 70mm x 42mm. Female bust profile cameo - good condition, mount probably gold, circa 1900, 40mm x 32mm. A mixed group comprising: two pairs of George III cartwheel pennies in glazed wooden frames; twelve lapis lazuli cabochons; a finger ring with profile male bust; a finger ring with six-pointed star; a choker-length chain; a chain and pendant with faux Greek coin. Property of an American gentleman; acquired on the London art market in the 1990s. 539 grams total, frame: 12cm (4 3/4"). [18, No Reserve] Fine condition.

A mixed group of bronze items comprising:a rectangular slider with S-scrolled motif, two loops to the reverse; a domed discoid slider; an openwork slider with La Tène comma motifs; a mount fragment with grid of cells to accept enamel; a hinged mount fragment with triangular enamelled cells;a conical discoid plaque with enamel fill; a hollow bust; a discoid plaque with polychrome enamel fill; a finial with lateral bulbs; a crescentic mount with enamelled cells; a teardrop mount with domed centre. Ex Kelway collection; formed between 1975 and 2015; found Lincolnshire, UK, prior to a Time Team dig on an important Iron Age and Roman site. Rectangular strap fitting recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme with reference number LIN-EDEC96; accompanied by a print out of the PAS report 99 grams total, 13-46mm (1/2 - 1 3/4"). Mitchiner JMT 1, 2231-2232 (same dies; flaws at R of ROM and P of CAPTA); see Neumann 32533-32535. This small series of anonymous 'Roman' jetons includes examples for Augustus, Vitellius and Domitian, in addition to this of Vespasian; they are all based loosely on original Roman coin issues. 5.14 grams.
