A GREAT WAR TRIO OF MEDALS TO CAPTAIN G.A.K. HERVEY, 28TH BATTALION, THE LONDON REGIMENT comprising the 1914-15 Star (2835 Pte. G.A.K. Hervey. 28-Lond. R.), British War Medal 1914-20 and Victory Medal (both Capt G.A.K. Hervey.), officially impressed, unmounted; together with a coloured bust portrait photograph of the recipient (as a Lieutenant) in khaki uniform.
1363-1369 AD. Obv: facing bust with annulet on breast and +EDWARD DEI G REX ANGL DNS HYB Z AQT legend with double annulet stops. Rev: long cross and pellets with +POSVI DEVM ADIVTOREM MEV and VILLA CALESIE legends for Calais mint. 4.37 grams. Found Kent, UK. S. 1619; N. 1258. Very fine. Rare.

A group of artefacts comprising: a ceramic child bust wearing a hat with animal ears(?); a black stone bead with incised decoration to one side; a pale green glass domed bead with ribbed decoration and central pellet; a transparent grey stone bead; a red and orange square mosaic glass bead. 23.15 grams total, 17-30mm (3/4 - 1 1/4"). Property of a North West London gentleman; formerly with a central London gallery in 1990. Fine condition. [5, No Reserve]

Edge: with raised DECVS ET TVTAMEN ANNO REGNI VICESIMO QVINTO inscription with second I of VICESIMO over O. 28.88 grams. S. 3358, I over O edge variant not listed; ESC 392 (old 47B). Fair. Variety rare; the overstrike very rare.
