CONDITION REPORT: Jacket: faint perspiration stains at underarms to lining only, buttons are loose and have been safety pinned to prevent loses, otherwise good condition. Skirt: good condition.
A Jean Paul Gaultier Junior lingerie inspired peach satin ensemble, circa 1985, labelled and size 44, skirt with original shop tag, the jacket with corset-like laces to pockets, the skirt with power-mesh side panels and lace-up rear waist, bust 96cm, 38in, waist 66cm, 26in (2) The vendor's mother bought this outfit for her when she was a teenager, although she never wore the skirt as she thought it was too risqué. CONDITION REPORT: Skirt is unworn and good. Jacket has approx. 5 faint watermarks, predominantly to right sleeve, the largest 12x5cm, the rest much smaller, not immediately obvious. Otherwise good condition.

Nice, even dark colour, looks little worn
A black rayon crêpe evening jacket, probably Francevramant, circa 1936, embroidered in metal strip and with padded gilt leather wheat-ears, bust 92cm, 36in CONDITION REPORT: Faint brownish discolouration across shoulders, not immediately obvious, predominantly at right shoulder. Small stitched repair to interior by front hook fastening. Crepe shows wear (floating threads). Both sleeve seams have been re-stitched in places. Metal strip has lost its gilt coating in places/shows wear. Padded wheatears are good with one 'husk' needing re-stitching to one edge (minor). Chiffon lining needs re-stitching at right side and left underarm. Also seam has been re-stitched here and there are deodorant marks at underarms.

An American copy of a Dior cocktail dress, 1951, red silk grosgrain with black passementerie with boned strapless bodice and full skirt, bust 81-86cm, 32-34in, waist 61cm, 24in The Dior model can be seen in L'Officiel de la Mode, September 1951, no 353-354 p.147. CONDITION REPORT: Looks little worn. Good condition, very fresh. A few detached beads but nothing obvious and we have them safe in a bag. No alterations apart from raising of the hem by 3cm.

Slight soiling to hem edge which would easily clean. Silk lining has large damp stains to skirt area and tears. Rear skirt has faint damp stain to hem area which is very visible on inside and very slightly visible on exterior - it is concealed within the back drape.

A Germaine Lecomte couture pink and blue chiffon dress, early 1950s, large woven Paris label, the intricately pleated bodice adorned with silver bugle beads and pastes, bust 81-86cm, 32-34in, waist 51cm, 20in CONDITION REPORT: First appearance is good and very pretty. Rayon petticoat hem has been raised, soiling along hem edge of chiffon over-skirt, repairs and holes along hem edge mainly rear left and right sides. Bodice is lacking quite a number of silver bugle beads from the foliate bands that cross it. L-shaped repair in chiffon near centre front hem. Approx 3 light brown stains to rear skirt, concealed within pleats when worn. Faint perspiration stains at underarms which are hardly visible.
A whitework embroidered day dress, circa 1825, the bodice and puff sleeves embroidered with buds, the skirt hem with carnation trails, both with pulled and drawn-threadwork centres; together with an associated muslin petticoat with deep whitework band to hem, bust approx 81cm, 32in (2) CONDITION REPORT: The bodice has been removed, enlarged and re-sewn to the skirt. Later added Valenciennes trim to neck. Small hole at left underarm, small darn right shoulder. Front hem edge has been well mended horizontally approx. 30cm. The pattern on the skirt and bodice do not match. Modern prestud fasteners and hooks at waist. The muslin has a nicely done vertical repair below the rear skirt opening 27cm long, otherwise good, fresh appearance. 2 small holes in rear skirt. 3 small holes in front skirt. The petticoat has a modern synthetic upper bodice and zip fastening. Embroidered muslin skirt has one small hole to front. Muslin has slightly separated from cutwork motif at hem.

Hem has been raised and re-lowered, bodice side seams have been cut and altered again. Matching jacket is good, tony split in silk at one underarm (minor). · Navy couture dress - good condition, no problems, very fresh, belt buckle has cracked white hardstone
A Charles Frederick Worth blue silk faille bodice, circa 1885-90, woven signature label to waist stay, adorned with ivory tulle and silver wire embroidery and sequins, bust approx 81cm, 32in CONDITION REPORT: Wear to ivory tulle on upper right breast and neck edging areas, tulle backing to leaf motifs which edge the central 'stomacher' have eroded in places and some of the silver purl has lifted. Slight perspiration staining at one underarm. Exterior silk with speckling of rust spots to the front and faint brown discolouration around lacing holes down the back. Soiling on right side panel around the waist area. Inside - no alterations and taffeta lining is generally good. Lining to narrow sleeves has perspiration stains and perishing. Damp speckling to waist stays and a few small splits. Beaded edging is largely intact but the chiffon and tulle ground is worn and fragile. Damp speckles to rear pleated 'fichu' band.

Buckle is missing 10 rhinestones (8 are detached an in a bag). One small darned repair at left hip, otherwise chiffon is good. Faint discolouration to bodice area (not immediately noticeable). Slip in good condition.

A carved white marble bust of an angel, now mounted on a stepped square wooden plinth base, applied with a brass shield inscribed 'This bust taken from the Ruins of the ..... January 1st 1870', 41cm high. *** The inscription on the shield is to a clergyman but through years of polishing is impossible to read. Illustrated.
