A circa 1900 Arts & Crafts style oak framed threefold fire screen in the manner of Swaine Bourne of Birmingham, set with leaded glazed and polychrome decorated panels, the centre with circular medallion of a bust of a young maiden with garland of flowers in her hair, flanked by two side panels depicting exotic birds amongst flowers within further floral decorated panels, raised on scroll supports, 113 cm wide x 101 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Central circular panel broken in half vertically and with several chips along the break line. Some small chips around edges. Lead work generally appears to have had various repairs. Several other glass panels broken. Various wear, chips and scuffs throughout. Tarnish to hinges. Some repairs to frame including hole and drills to top section of one scrolling foot / support. The two panels depicting birds have some scuffs but are not broken. Some bowing and warping to leaded panels.
A suite of gold and simulated alexandrite jewellery with Eastern marks, possibly Egyptian, early 20th century, comprising a bracelet with a single round cut stone set within ancient Egyptian bust shoulders, on triangular link bracelet; a single stone ringin crown setting; a pear cut pendant; and and a pair of pear cut earrings, now mounted as pendants. A FINE NORTH GERMAN VAMBRACE FOR THE LEFT ARM WITH ETCHED DECORATION, BRUNSWICK, CIRCA 1560-5 of fully articulated construction, comprising tubular upper and lower cannons, each formed with a longitudinal ridge at the outside of the arm, the former surmounted by a turner of three lames, the latter, with a markedly V-shaped lower edge, opening at the front, and a couter with a small flat leaf-shaped wing, enclosed at the inside of the elbow by a series of eleven associated lames and embossed at its point with a quatrefoil, the main edges of the vambrace formed with roped inward turns accompanied by recessed borders enclosed to the inside by a pair of narrow grooves, and finely etched with bands and borders of running foliage involving a female in contemporary dress, a male herm, a male bust, a bull`s-head and lions` masks, all on a stippled and blackened ground, the lames at the inside of the elbow etched with narrow bands of guilloche (pierced at points with later holes, and the etching partly worn) 49.7 cm; 19½ in Provenance The Brunswick Ducal Armoury, Wolfenbüttel Schloss Marienburg
A NORTH GERMAN SPAUDLER FOR THE RIGHT SHOULDER WITH ETCHED DECORATION, BRUNSWICK, CIRCA 1550; AND ANOTHER SIMILAR FOR THE LEFT SHOULDER IN THE BRUNSWICK STYLE OF CIRCA 1550, 19TH CENTURY, MADE AS A PAIR TO THE FIRST the first from an `Almain` collar, formed of nine medially-ridged lames of which the second is formed with a short step in its front edge and last is deeper than the rest and formed at its lower edge with a roped inward turn accompanied by a recessed border enclosed to the inside by a narrow groove, the whole decorated with bands and borders of foliage involving a serpent and male bust, all on a stippled and blackened ground (all lames presently articulated to one another by screws, the whole patinated, worn and chemically cleaned); the second of the same form as the first but undecorated (the whole patinated and chemically cleaned) 31.7 cm; 12½ in / 31.5 cm; 12½ in (2) Provenance The Brunswick Ducal Armoury, Wolfenbüttel Schloss Marienburg

Early nineteenth century Italian carved shell cameo brooch depicting a classical male profile bust, in a yellow metal setting, 25mm x 31mm, plus a Regency cameo brooch in gilt metal filigree mount, 17mm x 15mm CONDITION REPORT The larger cameo brooch - good condition. Wear commensurate with age. One small area of old damage on the top left hand edge, this is a chip to the rim which appears to have been partially filled, no other damage or cracks to the cameo. Mount probably gold. Smaller cameo - probably originally part of a larger piece of jewellery. Otherwise in good condition
