dating: second quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Brescia, Long, smooth, two-stage, 15 mm cal. barrel, first part is octagonal richly decorated with a bust inside a silver frame and bands engraved with floral motifs inlaid in brass, round after a beaded ring and with fore-sight; flintlock signed 'DIEGO ZANONI' decorated en suite in silver and brass. Briar-root, full stock, with break and small restorations (typical for briar root). Nice, gilded brass mounts, decorated with silver busts, trophies and floral motifs. Horn-tipped wooden ramrod. Interesting pistol of good length and prestigious decoration, deserves a proper restoration of the briar root. length 50.5 cm.
