A CARVED STONE HEAD OF AN AFRICAN MALE supported on a square section iron rod, to turned oak socle, 34.5cm high overall. Provenance: By family repute the bust was a shooting trophy dating from the Boer War. The vacant shield-shaped spaces visible on the oak base correspond to silver plaques removed by a family member who was a conscientious objector during the Great War.
A late 19th century carved alabaster bust "Dante", raised on turned pedestal and wooden plinth, height 32cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: As you look at the figure, the left shoulder has been broken and repaired, a few chips to the edges, rubbing to his chin, stress crack to back of head, a fine hairline crack where the bust meets the column, and a section of the base of the column has been broken and glued.
A group of collectors' items including a late 19th century glass topped trinket box, a spelter bust, three Art Deco bisque porcelain figures of young girls, a clothes brush, etc. CONDITION REPORT: Spelter bust: height 9.5in. Slight surface pitting. Child with pink top: reglued leg and missing finger tips.
***AMENDED DESCRIPTION*** A late 19th century carved Chinese Canton ivory brooch, the plaque set with figures before a garden landscape in yellow metal frame, 5 x 4.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: The bust has unfortunately been withdrawn by the vendor. Ivory plaque has four 0.5cm old splits visible to the reverse and leaf decoration to frame has been repaired and one piece is detached.

A set of four 16th century carved oak 'Romayne' panels, each with a portrait bust within a wreath or a cartouche above mythical beasts, and surmounted by an angel's mask, a bull's head, a pair of horse's heads and a pair of stylized human heads, 55.3 x 21.3 each panel, later mounted into oak door frames.
