Auf einer kleinen Weltkugel ruhend. Kräftiger quadratischer Sockel, auf der Vorderseite ein "N" mit Krone. Rückseitig signiert "E.Beyrer 1912" und "Aktienges. Gladenbeck, Berlin". Höhe 24 cm.Felix Chopin (1813 - 1892), geboren in Paris, kam 1838 nach St. Petersburg und übernahm später die Gießerei Guerin. Er war auch für den Zarenhof tätig. A 19th century Continental carved ivory mythological bust and associated stand and plinth, together with a 19th century carved ivory Bacchanalian figure standing on an ebonised plinth, the bust on stand L15cm overall Condition Report: The bust is finely carved, it has a small flat chip to front edge, some very minor discolouration to helmet. The stand that it sits on is associated and it is not properly connected to this. There is a small turned ivory screw attachment to top of turned base. The base itself is ok. The Bacchic figure cracked and repaired through raised right arm and left hand holding the grapes, some surface scratching to reverse and areas of yellow discolouration.
