A large plaster bust of Herakles after the Antique, 20th century, to the Roman 2nd century original held at the British Museum, the head inclined slightly to sinister, truncated, on a waisted circular socle, approximately 103cm highCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scuffs and scratches overall consistent with age. The white paint finish is irregular/distressed in places. Area of restoration to the right ear (old adhesive residue visible) and possibly surrounding area.Further chips and losses to socle and truncation, and there are darker veins, possibly filled, to the hair and rear neck. Charles Ist memorial (undated) 1649 medal in bronze bust right armoured and draped reverse hand from heaven holding celestial crown originally offered in 1695 at five shillings in the London Gazette described as being struck by James and Norbert Roettier at the Mint in the Tower of London and a bag of mixed stamps. A Parian bust of Napoleon I upon a bronze-mounted base (27cm high)It is noted that the Parian ware is quite dirty and there is some brown staining at the front which appears to rub off. There appears to be an old firing crack where his jacket starts to the right-hand side (see close-up image) there is also a small piece of restoration to the hat (see close-up image). The gilt bronze plinth and socle has darkened down well.
