Rare - Davidson's Trafalgar Medal, circa 1805, pewter, mounted in yellow metal with suspension ring, the obverse decorated with Nelson's arms and motto surmounted with a bust of the Admiral, the date Oct 21 1805, and the maker's initials H.F. for Thomas Halliday below, the reverse with a view of a ship, 2.08 inches diameter. Catalogue note: The medal was awarded to the survivors of the Battle of Trafalgar by Alexander Davidson, Nelson's prize agent. The medals were issued in white metal or pewter.
