A 1930s art deco coral coloured crepe day dress having cowl neck and appliqué flower detail to shoulder in a contrasting brown, no fastening. Very good ,strong and presentable condition for its age, some faint age realted marks and very nominal discolouration to underarms. four pin pricks to sides of waist,possiby from belt loops being removed. Bust approx 36" waist 34"

Otherwise there is surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use.

Covered in a thick layer of dirt and discoloured varnish. General rubbing and abrasions to edges and odd minor and isolated patch of fine flaking i.e background towards upper left hand corner, in addition to on her left hand breast. Surface slightly flattend and paint is thin in places from historical restoration. There has been some general strenghtening through the background in addition to some of the shadows and definition within her costume and attire under the curl of hair right hand side, etc.The face and flesh areas seem broadly less affected. The face and flesh tones generally less affacted with small area of flaked paint to her left hand cheek in addition to the damage, otherwise in broadly country house condition consistant with age including the odd relatively minor surface scuff, abrasions, etc.
