1696 pattern sixpence of second bust general `type ` but with finer `cascading hair` detail and tall narrow bust as on the crown illustrated at Spink 3471 in the standard catalogue and Linecar 3 lower illustration (note that the normal second bust sixpences resemble Linecar 3 upper illustration). This coin is also of the same style as ESC 540 the unique halfcrown (R7) illustrated on page 67 ESC. We understand there exists one other recorded specimen of this great rarity totally unknown when the most recent ESC was published. Very fine and of the highest rarity.
