Exhibited: Venice Biennale, 1964 [this cast]; James Hyman exhibition 'Geometry of Fear', 2002. Literature: 'Bernard Meadows', Alan Bowness, Lund Humphries, p.79, pl. 61. It would cost £6000+ just to cast them in bronze these days. Meadows is one of the UK greats. This is one of Meadows' greatest sculptures, in our opinion, along with Armed Bust V and the very early black Crab. [very good condition - some dust in crevices].
