A group of three Sevres porcelain cabinet portrait bust plates, late 18th century, decorated against an ivory ground with gilt scroll highlights and centrally with busts of Louis XV, Marie Antoinette, and Louis XVI, all signed by G. Periers, with black painted titles verso, blue interlaced L factory mark, centered with 'BB' date mark for 1779, and below with 'S' gilders mark for Mereaud aine, Pierre-Antoine, a/f Louis XV plate damaged but pieces present, 23cm diameter. A group of silver flatware, George III and later, comprising an early 19th century Spanish small silver fork, marked '080 Esteu, Gandia' and with crowned bust, 13.2cm, nine fiddle pattern forks, crest and monogram engraved, a pair of bright cut sugar tongs, and four further tea or coffee spoons, 15.2toz total weight. Attributed to Maud Earl (British, 1864-1943), "Terrier and Bust", unsigned, oil on canvas, bearing old label verso with title and attribution, in a gilt-composition frame. 49cm by 60cm Note: Earl was a prominent British-American artist known for her canine paintings. Her father, uncle and brother were also successful animal painters and it was her father, George, who was her first teacher. Born in London, she studied at the Royal Female School of Art and later exhibited a number of works at the Royal Academy. She became famous at a time when women were not expected to make their living through working as an artist, but she developed a very select clientele and counted Queen Victoria, Edward VII and Queen Alexandra amongst her patrons. In 1916 she emigrated to New York City.

1890 Charles Stewart Parnell ceremonial baton. A carved bog-oak baton surmounted by a silver plated bust of Charles Stewart Parnell, the baton's upper section carved with high-relief ivy and shamrock. The baton is 28.5 inches long. The only other example of this baton or staff that is recorded was sold at Whyte's on 17 September, 2016 as lot 37. That example bore a plaque inscribed 'Presented to - Mr M. J. Murray - Chief Marshall of the - Parnell Anniversary Demonstration - held 7th Oct. 1890 - by the Parnell Anniversary Committee'. Presumably this example was also given to one of the organisers of the demonstration.

A lava cameo bracelet, six oval lava cameos in tones of grey to red and each carved with a classical female bust to metal frames, length 7cm The bracelet is in good condition. It fastens with a tongue and box clasp. The cameos measure 2.8cm x 2.5cm approximately. The cameos are in good condition with some rubbing to the edges. Gross weight 32.4 grams. W Bullock: profile bust portrait of a gentleman, circa 1820, black painted onto cream card, oval, 8.5cm, in a turned and stained pearwood deeply moulded frame, original label on the reverse inscribed Drawn in one minute by the Patent now Physiognotrace at the House of W Bullock, Jeweller, Silversmith and Chinaman to His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester (sic) at the Liverpool Museum and Bronze Figure Manufactory - Miniature Frames; Henry Hervé (fl. c.1800-c.1820 or later): profile bust portrait of a gentleman, circa 1810, black painted on the underside of convex glass, against an opaque mushroom ground, oval, 8.6cm, in a turned and stained pearwood deeply moulded frame with original label pasted to the reverse, inscribed Henry Hervé, Miniature and Profile Painter, 12 Cheapside (2) For the W Bullock miniature see Mckecknie (S), pg,36. It has been suggested that the artist for this piece is William Alport.Bullock - miniature is good, but some darkening of the edges of the exposed card. The frame has an enormous slice out of the upper rim between 2 and 4 o'clock. Herve - black paint greying at top of sitter's head and on cravat (ie some air got in beneath the paint). Some slight chipping to the frame at 12 and 4 o'clock. Some tearing to the original label. 28/1/09
A coral cameo and diamond ring, an oval coral cameo carved with a classical female bust in a yellow rubbed over setting, above an old cut diamond, within a chased boder, to scroll shoulders on a plain polished shank, finger size H The ring is in good condition. The shank is quite thin. It is not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as gold. Estimated diamond weight 0.05 carat approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamond are; colour H/I, clarity SI1/SI2. Gross weight 6.0 grams. Condition Report made 20th March 2017.
A carved shell cameo brooch, the oval cameo depicting a female bust with ears of wheat in her hair, in a jet frame, measures 6cm by 5cm The brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and c-hook and has a safety chain. The cameo measures 4.5cm by 3.6cm. Gross weight 26.0 grams. Condition Report made 18th April 2017.
A profile portrait of Catherine Maria Fisher, 19th century, facing to dexter, inscribed (below the bust) Kitty Fisher, 15.5cm by 11.5cm, inscribed on the reverse Catherine Maria Fisher known as Kitty Fisher £16 16 shilling 0 pence, ebonised frame; two unframed profile portraits, of a young man and a young woman; two silhouette cut-out sheets, depicting humorous subjects, including imps, a pig and fairies, one on blue and one on white paper, each approximately 40cm by 29cm; and four remaining prints and cut-outs (9)Kitty Fisher - paper browning and frame a little shabby. Two loose silhouette - female good, male has slight burn mark on left edge and small tear (NB there is a poem Forget Me Not signed And W R Whyte dated 27 Oct 1849. Large multiple silhouette sheets - are both in poor condition with tears, creases and staining throughout. Single cutout of a yacht is badly damaged bottom left angle. Three prints are good. 5/2/09
Two 19th century loose carved shell cameos, by Barbati each depicting the bust of a gentleman, measure 4.8cm by 3.8cm and 4.1cm by 3.2cm, signed verso, in a fitted presentation caseThe cameos are in good condition. There is some minor chipping to the edges notes the the reverse of the smaller cameo. The smaller cameo is signed 'Barbati' and dated 1859, the later is signed 'Barbati Scul'. English School (early 19th century): miniature portrait of a gentleman, bust length, wearing a blue jacket and white stock, 6.5cm by 5cm, the reverse with a lock of hair and indistinctly inscribed and dated 1805; and another, as a gentleman wearing a black jacket and white stock, 5cm by 4cm, the reverse inscribed Dobson Dublin 1804 (2)First with area of discolouration and splitting to right hand side. Both glasses damaged. Paper label stained. Minor minor wear. Second with typical wear and scratching to frame. Both not examined out of frame. 161116
A Victorian jet necklace, formed of graduated faceted oval and pierced links, suspending a central pendant drop carved with a classical female bust and flanked by further graduated faceted drop pendants, drop length 6cm, chain length 56cm The tip of the female's hair is chipped as well as the tip of the nose. The central pendant may be a later edition as it differs in style to the rest of the necklace. There is evidance of repair to one of the graduated oval faceted links and one of the faceted hoop links suspending a drop. It fastens with a jet box and metal tongue claps. Gross weight 109.6 grams. Condition Report made 7th April 2017.
