The gorget cantered by a medusa head with oval medallion of St George and the dragon, on a swept marble base 54.5cm high overall, bust 43cm high, base 27cm wide The original first version of this is held in The Royal Collection (RCIN 31322). In the cataloguing notes for the bust it records that the original pair of portrait busts by Rysbrack were commissioned by Queen Caroline in 1738 as part of the decoration of William Kent's new library at St James's Palace.

A white glazed Staffordshire bust of Plato, 19th century, modelled with head turned to sinister and wearing a buttoned garment, lacking a socle base, stamped PLATO to verso, 26cm highCondition Report: Overall in poor condition. Several firing flaws across the whole, including a large firing crack across the shoulders and head with several fissures and holes, further small cracks across the shoulder and neck and beard, some impact points to the head and verso resulting in loss of glaze and ceramic, a number of minor chips and losses to glaze across the whole.
