Queen Anne Guinea, Date 1713 - third draped bust facing left, legend surround and reads, Anna Del Gratia, reverse. Dated 1788 (probably made later). 89 gilt brass gaming counters. Obvs: profile bust with GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA legend. Revs: crowned 'spade' arms with date below and IN MEMORY OF THE GOOD OLD DAYS legend. * These gaming counters are usually based upon the design of the George III gold 'spade' guineas and half guineas and most were made in Birmingham from around the 1770's until the early 19th century. A copper Alloy Votive wheel 1st Century BC/AD and Roman seal box lid. A late Iron Age votive wheel, five spokes originally The Rouelle or votive wheel was used as an amulet or as wheels on a votive chariot. This broken half of a large votive wheel was reputedly found at Caistor by Norwich Roman Town. It has a decorated rim and spokes with a large hub, 36 mm diameter. A piriform seal box lid with an upright fish depicted on the lid in relief, 36 mm long, 16 mm width, together with four lead pilgrims badges 15th-16th Century, a Lozenge shaped badge with the sacred monogram IHC within a beaded border, complete with integral pin on reverse 27mm/4.5 grms, a circular badge depicting a half-length figure in Tudor period dress, possibly Cardinal Wolsey and issued at the shrine of Henry VI at Windsor, Berkshire, complete with integral pin on reverse 24mm/5.2 grms, Two sub-circular badges depicting a facing bust, possibly Christ 26mm, Medieval lead flask-shaped pilgrim's ampulla. One face bears a design of a crowned 'W', indicating that the ampulla is from the shrine at Walsingham, Norfolk. The other face has a quatrefoil of leaves. One handle damaged. Circa 15th century, 50mm x 30mm, 38g, Two Medieval Lead Seal Matrices, a lead vesica seal matrix (32mm x 21mm) with central fleur-de-lis device and inscripton around, together with a circular seal matrix (25mm diameter) with central cross and inscription around, A Viking Lead Gaming Piece. MOORCROFT; an Aurum Lily pattern pin dish, diameter 11cm, a Bursleyware jug (af), height 29cm and a Sevres figural bust, height 24cm (3).Additional InformationDish crazed, jug crazed (af). The handle's lower joint has been cracked through. Bust has usual scuffs and marks. The cat item with a hairline through left ear to the reverse also crazed. All items with expected manufacturing imperfections, dirt surface marks.
WEDGWOOD; a black basalt bust 'Scott', height 25cm, a black basalt jug, twin handled urn, small pot and cover and a ribbed hot water pot (5).Additional InformationBust with impressed Wedgwood and Scott marks to reverse. Bust: surface scratch marks and build up of surface dirt and dust is also marked to the underside of socle base. Twin handled urn: does not have a cover, socle base is loose, basic condition is good. Hot water pot: tiny losses to the petals of the finial, light surface scratches and some heavier surface scratches around the lower section of the body. Jug: light surface scratches. Small pot and cover: good condition. Postage is a large box.

He was an Admiral in the French Navy.
