A red, black and white marble figural bust of a Moorish gentleman with moustache and turban, raised on a Siena marble socle, all raised on a Siena marble pedestal of square tapering form to square foot, approx. 194 cm high overall CONDITION REPORTS Base has some minor knocks to edges, but appears sound. Small chip on the square top. Generally in good but used condition. The statue itself has some light general wear. There is a chip to the marble one side across the vein which may have been filled and secured. Back arched edge across shoulders has various little pinhead chips and a deeper scratch to one side. Back edge at bottom of square has small chips/nibbles along it. One or two cracks through the marble to bottom front. Oval base has some cracks running up marble vein from top to bottom in two places but appear fairly stable. Small cracks throughout the piece but all appear in stable condition. Some rubbing and wear. No makers marks nor signatures visible.
