Of naval interest - 18th Century English Delft blue and white plate, the centre decorated with a bust portrait of an officer and within a circular foliate border, the rim inscribed in black 'ADMIRAL RODNEY FOR EVER' and with a trellis and foliate border, diameter 23cm (cracked and with rivet repairs). This plate commemorates Admiral Rodney's victory at the Battle of Saintes on 12th April 1782.

Raised on six hairy paw feet to a shaped quadruped base having a reeded and inverted tapering column culminating in a carved apron of geometric scrolled detailing beneath a plant / bust stand top above. Measures 131cm x 32cm x 32cm.
A 19th century French 18ct gold ruby and pearl agate carved cameo brooch pin. The cameo having a carved bust of a neoclassical maiden, prong set within a gold mount, embellished with 6 half pearls and 6 rubies. The cameo being signed verso - see images and completed with C clasp. French assay marks to pin and clasp for 18ct gold. Measures approx 1 1/2 inches. Weight 17.6g.
