BUTCHER, SHEFFIELD, with 9in. clip-pointed blade signed at the forte and engraved on one side with a stag being hunted by two hounds and a mounted huntsman in Western costume, the portrait bust of a man named 'OLD ZACK', a 'LIBERTY' cap, and a ribbon bearing the legend 'CALIFORNIA HUNTING KNIFE', German silver guard and grip, chequered hardwood grip-scales, one with silver plaque, the back-edge of the grip with folding pick, in original German silver mounted green leather covered scabbard, the leather tooled with traces of gilding in the pattern.
A collection of Napoleon Bonaparte memorabilia, including a spelter figure of Napoleon standing leaning against rocks, 38 cm high, a small unsigned bronze figure with him standing on a variegated marble plinth, 20 cm high overall, along with two spelter busts and a small ivory bust on an ebonised sockle, 15.5 cm overall, also a letter opener stamped with his head and shoulders, 12 cm long, and another letter opener with a stamped metal figure of Napoleon mounted on a simulated mother of pearl pointed blade (7)
