A collection of seven cameo items of jewellery, including a Victorian pinchbeck and synthetic pearl bracelet, a 9ct gold gold and a silver mounted brooch, a pair of earrings with screw backs and two Wedgwood silver and Jasperware pendants and a brooch (8) There is plenty of glue on the back of the faux pearl bracelet, and there are fine cracks on the right hand side. The Edwardian lady cameo has fine cracks top to bottom, and the classical aqualine female bust has no obvious signs of significant damage or repair. There are cracks to one of the earrings though all the Wedgwood pieces appear to be okay.

Spain . Charles III eight reales, from the shipwreck El Cazador. A salvaged coin from the wreck of the 'El Cazador', milled 8 reales 'bust dollar', dated 1783, Charles III, assayer FF, slabbed by PNG and with accompanying certificate in presentation box. El Cazador, a Spanish brigantine of war, was lost in 1784 while on route from Vera Cruz to New Orleans. The wreck site was in 1993 by a fishing vessel. The treasure of the El Cazador, was intended to stabilize the Spanish monetary system in colonial North America.
1841, Feargus O'Connor Chartist medal Release of Feargus O’Connor, a white metal medal, unsigned, bust facing left, ''Feargus O'Connor - Universal Sufferage and No Surrender'', reverse, a view of York castle. 1¾in. (4.45cm) Feargus O’Connor (1794-1855), MP for Cork 1832-5 and later for Nottingham, Chartist leader and agitator for reform, was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment in York castle for seditious libel in 1840 but was released two months early, on 27 August 1841. He founded the National Land Company to buy estates in Ireland in 1846.
1923-24. Letters and sketches from Professor August Weckbecker, German sculptor and stained glass artist to Carlow priest. Correspondence is addressed to Fr. Michael Bolger, P.P., Carlow relating to commissions in Ireland. In the letters Prof. Weckbecker refers to his working on bust and portrait of Pope Pius XI in the Vatican and a bust of Sir Roger Casement. The Casement bust was acquired by the National Gallery of Ireland in 1963. During his time in Carlow Weckbecker designed a monument to Fr. Hugh Cullen in Killeshin. He also designed the stained-glass window, Stations of the Cross, a relief of the Entombment , a tabernacle, and two murals for the church at St Dympna's Hospital. The lot includes a photocopied catalogue of his works. (11)

A pair of flitlock pistols by Francesco Bianco dating: second quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Northern Italy Octagonal, smooth, 15 mm cal. barrels, slightly recessed at the base, with butt-plate provided with rings, signed "VICENZO COMINAZZO" at the back. One missing tang at the end. Locks with slightly-round, framed plate featuring the signature "FRANCO BIANCO", the hammers with a screw depicting a relieved bust. Wooden full stocks. Iron mounts, trigger guards and butt-plates with remains of bas-relieved decorations depicting busts. Perry Breechloading Single Shot Pistol with long barrel dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: USA Very long, round, smooth, 52 cal. barrel, marked "17", with foresight; smooth frame, marked "PERRY PATENT ARMS CO NEWARK NJ" and "1855" at the powder chamber block; long, "S"-shaped trigger guard, also functioning as a lever to open the loading block. Wooden grip scales, iron frame. Very scarce. See a pistol with a scarce, short barrel like this at the National Museum of American History: the description says that Alonzo D. Perry's invention was presumably the bust firearm ever produce at that time. In 1855 the U.S. Government ordered 200 breechloading rifles, the most famous of them was the Navy model. dimensions: length 93.5 cm.
