Slightly buckled, otherwise good very fine, rare £200-£300 --- Provenance: DNW Auction 136, 8 June 2016, lot 592. Previously described by the present cataloguer as 1564/3/2 (?), the late vendor notes the following on his ticket ‘Same obverse die as E 1797 (1563/2) [C.H. Comber specimen]. Reverse compared with all BA-l7 (1563/2) and BA-n7 (1564/2) specimens but no die match. Reverse die not same as Shuttlewood 3E 1563/3 die. Oversize obliteration punch’

Heavily scuffed, rim nicks and reverse edge knock at 3 o’clock, otherwise very fine, pierced for suspension and with contemporary gold loop, extremely rare; in original black shagreen case £6,000-£8,000 --- Provenance: From an old Irish collection. Prince George August (1683-1760), later King George II and Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg, the last British monarch born outside England, gained the title of Electoral Prince on his 18th birthday, 9 November 1701.
