ADMIRAL LORD NELSON: A REGENCY SHELL CAMEO carved with a classical bust in profile, in an oval gold frame, with a stylised anthemia border. Provenance: According to a hand-written label dated 1943, the brooch was given to Lady Hamilton by Nelson. It then passed to his daughter, who gave it to Douglas Sladen (author of The Admiral) who gave it to his grand-daughter, Ursula Sladen on January 2nd 1943.

A Victorian paper cut work silhouette of lady in oval glazed frame, 25.5 x 22cm, a further ink silhouette bust of a lady and a silhouette of a gentleman painted on plaster (3). CONDITION REPORT: Small oval: frame repaired and overpainted, the plaster with nibbles, back covered with modern cardboard. Large oval: commensurate with age, tiny losses to edges and some rubbing, wooden back attached with sellotape. Rectangular: surface dirt, traces of wear, glass loose, otherwise seems to be in good condition.
Medals - Dated 1873 AD. By G. T. Morgan, after J. Gamble; gilt pewter. Obv: profile bust with plume behind with ALBERT EDWARD PRINCE OF WALES PRESIDENT legend. Rev: buildings with date in panel below with LONDON ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF ALL FINE ARTS INDUSTRIES AND INVENTIONS legend. Edge: with incuse GREEN & STEMBRIDGE CATALOGUE No 4212 inscription. BCM 1622; BHM 2964. 145.70 grams, 68mm. ("). This medal (also in copper alloy) was awarded to exhibitors; commemorative medals were also struck for the event, some in the exhibition building and the exhibition closed in 1874
Four Staffordshire figures of John Wesley, 2nd half 19th century, one in a pulpit above a clock dial, three standing and holding a prayer book, a small Staffordshire bust of Wesley, raised on a sponged socle, a modern stoneware bust, a Routh Pottery commemorative plate from 1969, applied with a profile of Susannah Wesley, and a limited edition Leeds Pottery loving cup printed with a portrait of Mary Bosanquet and with a John Kay print of Wesley walking in Edinburgh (no. 81 of 250), 28cm max. Two Wedgwood portrait plaques of John Wesley, 19th/20th century, one Jasperware, modelled in white relief on sage green and mounted on a frame, the other black basalt, a pair of Wedgwood Jasperware pin trays, a small Parian bust of Wesley raised on a circular socle, and a limited edition Edward Underhill plate, number 382 of 1,738, some restoration to the bust, 27cm max. A 19th century gilt metal and alabaster mantle clockThe white enamelled dial with Roman numerals and twin winding apertures, surmounted with the bust of a bearded crowned man, the reverse stamped PH Mourey. 42.5 cm high. CONDITION REPORTS: Some gilt wear/loss, some chipping to alabaster, cracks and chips to dial, back door lacking, all clocks not guaranteed in working order.
1st-3rd century AD. A bronze finger ring comprising a round-section tapering hoop, discoid bezel with scooped rim, intaglio profile bust with crested helmet. 10 grams, 22mm overall, 19.95mm internal diameter (approximate size British U, USA 10, Europe 22.52, Japan 21) (1"). Property of a Surrey collector; acquired in the early 1970s. Extremely fine condition.
2nd-3rd century AD. A group of intaglio inserts comprising: one carnelian with helmetted profile bust; one agate with female profile bust, hair dressed in a chignon. 1.43 grams total, 12-13mm (1/2"). Property of a European gentleman; acquired on the German art market in the 1990s.[No Reserve] Fine condition.
