The George Best of his day. He played for Derby County where he is remembered as a legend and also for Middlesbrough. He made 23 appearances for England between 1895 and 1907 and was for a time the leading England International goal scorer. The song "Steve Bloomer is Watchin"; is played at Derby home games and there is a bust of him at Pride Park Stadium. He was nicknamed “The Destroying Angel.”
