George III, Pattern or Trial Striking of the Crown, 1818, by Benedetto Pistrucci, struck with a collar on separate lead planchets, Obverse, laureate bust right, as currency type, toothed border, plain edge, on 4mm flan, some scuffmarks and scratches, but very fine and seemingly struck from a polished die; Reverse, St. George slays the dragon, the legend around in Garter, HONI SOIT, as currency type, toothed border, plain edge, on 5mm flan, 39mm (cf Selig [Spink 131, 2 March, 1999] 1205, 1198), the surface flat and dull, good fine. William Geldart - Petra ink study William Geldart (1936 - ) Petra signed ink 26.5 x 17cm.; 10.5 x 6.75in. * William Geldart showed at the Royal Academy in the Manchester area and at Geldart Gallery Henbury Macclesfield Cheshire. He wrote and illustrated 'Geldart's Cheshire'. Petra was a female mixed breed dog who appeared on the BBC children's programme Blue Peter. She was the first Blue Peter pet and remains one of the best known. She had several puppies including Patch who also became a Blue Peter pet and who predeceased her. There is a bust of Petra in the Blue Peter garden. It originally stood in front of BBC Television Centre but was moved to the garden in 1984 due to redevelopment works.

A George III Scottish silvergilt snuff box, with a coloured agate base, the cover with an applied gold frame with a blue enamel border, inset with a miniature painting of the bust of a gentleman in a powdered wig below an open work coronet and the initial ‘F’, by P. Cunningham & Son, Edinburgh, 1810, 3in (7.2cm) overall.
