Antique intaglio ring with an intaglio carved stone, possibly aquamarine, depicting a classical female profile bust, in 18ct gold mount on tapered shank. Intaglio approximately 15.8mm 12.5mm. Ring size L½.The ring is in good condition commensurate with age. The intaglio is in excellent condition, no chips or damage. The stone is cold to the touch and we believe that it is more likely to be a stone rather than glass but has not been tested and is for any prospective buyer to form their own opinion. The mount is probably 19th century. The ring is from a local deceased estate. Weighs approximately 4.9 grams.
